Get ready to SMASH into cricket this Term 4!
Kelly Sports is excited to introduce the Girton Elevate – Cricket Smash Program – an action-packed 8-week after-school cricket development program combining skill acquisition, challenges, modified games and plenty of match play!
Cricket Smash is designed to get children moving, hitting, bowling, catching and playing. Rather than spending sessions waiting for a turn, players will experience high-participation activities designed to maximise touches of the ball, skill repetition and involvement.
Whether your child already plays cricket or is picking up a bat for the first time, Cricket Smash provides an exciting environment to develop skills, build confidence and enjoy the game.

Concludes: Friday 27 November 2026
Time: 3:15pm – 5:00pm
Duration: 8 weeks
Cost: $27.50 per week | $220 for the full 8-week program
Children will be supervised directly from the end of the school day, with each 1 hour 45 minute session providing plenty of time for skill development, challenges, modified games and match play.

Every week introduces a new cricket development focus, with skills progressively building across the term.
Players will develop the fundamental skills needed to become more confident cricketers, including batting, bowling, catching, throwing, fielding, running between wickets, decision-making and game awareness.
⭐ Week 1 – Cricket Foundations & Ball Skills
Friday 9 October
Let's get Cricket Smash underway!
Players will build confidence with bats and balls through fast-moving activities, coordination challenges and introductory cricket games.
Focus: Hand-Eye Coordination • Bat & Ball Control • Throwing • Catching • Cricket Fundamentals
⭐ Week 2 – Batting & Ball Striking
Friday 16 October
It's time to SMASH!
Players will develop their batting technique while learning how to strike the ball with greater control, accuracy and power.
A range of hitting challenges will encourage players to score into different areas of the field.
Focus: Batting Technique • Ball Striking • Hand-Eye Coordination • Placement • Power • Confidence
⭐ Week 3 – Bowling & Target Challenges
Friday 23 October
Can you hit the stumps?
Players will explore the fundamentals of bowling before putting their accuracy to the test through exciting target challenges and competitions.
Focus: Bowling Technique • Accuracy • Run-Up • Release • Target Bowling • Consistency
⭐ Week 4 – Catching, Throwing & Super Fielding
Friday 30 October
Great fielding can change a game!
Players will tackle catching, throwing and reaction challenges while learning how to move efficiently in the field.
Focus: Catching • Throwing Accuracy • Ground Fielding • Reactions • Movement • Teamwork
⭐ Week 5 – Running Between Wickets & Game Smarts
Friday 6 November
Hit it, call it and RUN!
Players will develop their understanding of running between wickets, communication and making quick decisions under pressure.

⭐ Week 6 – Power Hitting & Run Scoring
Friday 13 November
Get ready for our Cricket Smash Power Session!
Players will explore different ways to score runs, find gaps in the field and select the right shot for different deliveries.
We'll introduce batting challenges where players can chase targets, accumulate points and test their skills under pressure.
Focus: Power Hitting • Shot Selection • Placement • Run Scoring • Decision-Making • Batting Confidence
⭐ Week 7 – Cricket Game Intelligence
Friday 20 November
Now we're putting everything together!
Through modified games and match scenarios, players will learn how batting, bowling and fielding combine while developing a greater understanding of tactics and teamwork.
Focus: Game Awareness • Batting Decisions • Bowling Strategies • Field Placement • Teamwork • Match Play
🏆 Week 8 – CRICKET SMASH SUPER FINALE!
Friday 27 November
We're finishing Term 4 with our biggest Cricket Smash session!
Players will put eight weeks of development into action through batting challenges, bowling competitions, fielding challenges and fast-paced Cricket Smash matches.
Expect plenty of runs, wickets, catches, teamwork and excitement!
Focus: Skill Challenges • Competition • Match Play • Teamwork • Confidence • Celebration

The Girton Elevate – Cricket Smash Program is designed for all experience and ability levels. Children don't need to currently play club cricket to participate.
Across the eight weeks, players will develop:
