Inclusive Champions Sports Carnival – Horsham
Get ready for an action-packed, inclusive day of sport, fun and connection!
Kelly Sports, in conjunction with the Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly, is proud to deliver an exciting Inclusive Champions Carnival, designed to bring together participants of all abilities in a supportive, high-energy environment at the Horsham Basketball Stadium.
This special event, backed by Special Olympics Australia, focuses on participation, teamwork, confidence and community, while also creating opportunities for connection with local sporting clubs and pathways beyond the day.
What’s Included?
Participants will take part in five exciting sports, aligned with Special Olympics programs:
- Basketball
- Indoor Soccer
- Golf (fun skill-based challenges)
- Ten Pin Bowling (modified indoor format)
- Netball
Each activity is designed to be inclusive, engaging and suitable for all ability levels.
Team-Based Carnival Format
To build friendships and create a true carnival atmosphere, participants will be:
- Placed into small teams upon arrival
- Stay in the same team throughout the day
- Work together across all activities
Each sport will run in a round-robin format, giving everyone plenty of opportunities to participate, improve skills and enjoy the experience.
A fun points system will run throughout the day, with:
Medals for the overall winning team
Certificates for all participants
More Than Just Sport
This event is about much more than competition.
We aim to create:
Direct links to all abilities community clubs
A safe and inclusive environment
Opportunities to build confidence and social connections
Exposure to local sporting pathways
Potential engagement with local employment support services for older participants
What Does the Day Look Like?
The day is carefully structured to balance activity, rest and fun:
Morning: Welcome, team activities & Basketball
Midday: Soccer & fun lunchtime challenges
Afternoon: Golf challenges, Ten Pin Bowling & Netball
Finish: Presentations & celebration
Throughout the day, participants will also enjoy:
Warm-ups & group games
Snack and lunch breaks (food to be supplied by families)
“Come and Try” activities on arrival

End Time: 4pm
Who Can Attend: Group 1: 10 - 15 year olds & Group 2: 16 years & above
Cost: $10 per participant
