How to keep your kids entertained during the holidays

How to keep your kids entertained during the school holidays

Kids spend a large chunk of the year at school… but school holidays seem to come about awfully quick right?! It can be a task and a half planning their days around your work and social commitments. We’re here to make your planning a little easier with some ways to keep your kids entertained these school holidays! Check them out below!

Kelly Sports School Holiday Programmes

We don’t mean to be biased but this is a no brainer! Our school holiday programmes are two weeks of fun, games and sport, with lots of new and exciting activities planned every day – no day is the same! The holiday programmes run from 8:00am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday, making it the perfect way to entertain your kids during work days.

Try painting

Give Picasso a run for his money and let the kids try painting! Painting is a wonderful way for kids to express their creativity. You could buy some canvases or simply get some large sheets of paper and lots of paint! If you want your kids to have even more fun, let them use their hands and feet – but make sure the paint is water-based!

Have a garage sale

Not only is having a garage sale a great way to get the kids to clean out their rooms, but it also benefits them because they can make some pocket money! It’s a win-win scenario!

Cooking and baking

Getting the kids involved in the kitchen is always a fun time! Let them choose a recipe, and take them along to the supermarket to buy all the ingredients. Get them to read the recipe and then simply be there to assist them step by step during the cooking process.

Explore nature

As the weather warms up, what better way to entertain the kids than taking them on a walk through nature! You could take them to the beach and collect shells along the way, or adventure through local bushland and regional parks looking at native plants and animals.

We hope the ideas above help keep your kids entertained during the school holidays coming up!
